Society of Thoracic Radiology – Annual Meeting and Postgraduate Course
March 5 - March 8

The Society of Thoracic Radiology will host its 41st Annual Meeting and Postgraduate Course March 5-8, 2023 at Charleston Place in Charleston, South Carolina. The Program Committee, headed by President-Elect Edith Marom, MD, in collaboration with Education Committee Chair, Brett Elicker, MD, has designed an innovative and comprehensive postgraduate radiology course in cardiothoracic imaging. The course curriculum covers a variety of cardiothoracic imaging topics including lung cancer and lung cancer screening, airway and interstitial lung diseases, thoracic infection, pulmonary vascular imaging, cardiac CT and MR, imaging the acutely ill patient, emerging imaging technologies and utilization of AI in thoracic imaging. Non-interpretative topics such as wellness, education, and quality improvement will enrich the meeting as will expert perspectives drawn from outside radiology. The latter will focus on AI’s change of healthcare, future lung cancer care and ambiguities in pathology and how they pertain to the radiologist.
The course will capture the best elements of a live and virtual meeting. The entire meeting will be streamed live, including questions and answer sessions which will follow sessions. Six live panel discussions dealing with “hot” topics such as controversies related to remote working, workloads, opportunities and challenges in lung cancer screening, and more will engage local participants who will share their experience and brainstorm together. Those connected remotely will be able to send comments and questions which will be addressed. Finally, there will be an STR survivor contest during the meeting with prizes for the leading team that is sure to be fun as well as evening tour opportunities to discover the charms of Charleston.
We look forward to seeing you online and in Charleston!
